A Strategic Branding Journey to Make Palakkad’s Biggest Management Conclave an Unforgettable Experience

IKON was envisioned as the flagship program of the Palghat Management Association, in partnership with the All India Management Association, and presented by the State Bank of India and News18. As the first event of its scale in Palakkad, IKON brought together themes of “Be Future Ready,” spanning business, startups, AI, innovation, technology, creativity, and more.

With just six weeks to prepare, the challenge was to craft a complete brand identity and drive end-to-end promotions across digital, print, and on-ground platforms while creating an immersive experience that resonated with a diverse, multi-sector audience. Our approach covered logo design, collateral, digital and outdoor campaigns, website development, and venue branding, all tied together into a cohesive, engaging event that drew in far more delegates than expected and also earned wide appreciation from leaders and participants alike.

The Palghat Management Association approached us just six weeks before the event an ambitious goal and limited time. The immediate requirement was to create a distinct identity and strong presence across every touchpoint: logo, event collateral, promotional campaigns, website, and venue branding. Equally critical was driving ticket sales and participation, as a strong turnout would not only define the success of IKON but also set a benchmark for future management events in Palakkad.

The challenges lay in the compressed timeline, the need to appeal to a multi-sector audience, and the responsibility to deliver branding that was both professional and memorable, adaptable across digital, print, and experiential platforms. Every element had to work seamlessly to spark interest, build credibility, and ensure IKON stood out as a first-of-its-kind management conclave in the region.

Approach & Strategy

We approached IKON’s branding as a multi-layered storytelling opportunity and addressed the challenges through a holistic 360° branding.

  • Logo Design: The logo drew inspiration from Palakkad’s cultural identity, with the palm tree motif integrated into the letters “I” and “K.” The icon subtly suggested converging arrows, representing the brightest minds coming together, and radiating lines to reflect ideas spreading outward. A multi-colored palette highlighted the diverse industries the conclave focused on.

  • Patterns & Visual Language: We created patterns and icons representing each sector, ensuring visual differentiation while maintaining cohesion across all materials.

    End-to-End Brand collateral: Designed a complete set of physical assets: posters, brochures, flyers, tickets, coupons, standees, and banners, ensuring every touchpoint reflected the brand’s professionalism and vibrancy.

  • Digital & Social Media Strategy: Established event profiles, shared promotional videos highlighting Palakkad’s culture, introduced speakers, and communicated event details through cross-platform campaigns.

  • Website Development & Optimization: A user-friendly, registration-focused website allowed attendees to access information easily and book tickets online, streamlining data capture.

  • Venue Branding: From the main stage backdrop to AR/VR demo zones, photo booths, corridors, and LED displays, we created a unified, immersive visual experience that guided attendees and amplified engagement throughout the event.

Result

Despite the short preparation window, IKON far exceeded expectations. The event, projected to attract around 500 delegates, drew an audience of nearly 1000. Attendees and speakers alike praised the cohesive branding, impactful logo, and immersive on-ground experience that tied the event together.

The success of IKON positioned the conclave as a benchmark for future professional events in Palakkad. The event’s success also elevated PMA’s profile, positioning it as an organizer capable of delivering impactful national-level events. For us as a branding agency, IKON became a turning point, expanding our visibility, creating new collaborations, and strengthening our reputation as a creative partner for large-scale branding initiatives.
